4 Days Double Trekking in Uganda
4 days double gorilla trekking in Uganda offer a 2 times gorilla trekking experience which means the person treks gorillas 2 times in two different days. The ideal short gorilla tracking in Uganda itinerary with 1 day of gorilla trekking is 3 days, therefore to trek gorillas twice an individual needs 4 days with the second and third day meant for gorilla trekking. The double gorilla trekking experience can be done either in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Choosing dates for the gorilla treks can be consecutively and this can either be in one park or sector or in different parks or sectors.

4 days double gorilla trekking Bwindi Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from Kampala, stopover at the Equator for photography at the worlds centre line. Continue with the journey through the western Uganda highlands till Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive and check in at booked hotel near the park. Accommodation is based on the allocated sector for trekking.
Day 2: After an early morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing from the park guides. Thereafter head to the jungle for gorilla trekking that starts from 8:00am. Head to the forest for a trek that lasts about 2 to 4 hours or more depending on where the mountain gorillas have spent their night. After meeting with the gorillas, you spend a maximum of 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas. After an encounter with the giant gorillas, you trek back to the start point. Remember to carry some drinking water and snacks or foods to keep you energized. Receive a congratulatory certificate at the park headquarters and then transfer to the hotel or lodge for an overnight stay. This will depend on your preference either within the same park or to Mgahinga.
Day 3: From lodge, you will follow the previous day’s procedure and go for the second gorilla trekking experience. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: On the last day of the trip, have breakfast then return to Kampala. The drive last more than 8 hours and therefore you will have lunch. Arrive in Kampala in the evening for drop off at hotel or place or residence.
